Cargo iQ, an interest group for quality standards in air freight, has denied suggestions that its processes help shippers cut out forwarders to deal directly with carriers.
A blog post published by Maersk Growth, the shipping group’s corporate venture arm, predicts “airlines are expected to move closer to the shipper” – one of the more controversial statements in the air freight sector.

August 06, 2020 at 7:17 amThe most important takeaway that I expressed is that forwarders play a very important role in our current airfreight world. Cargo iQ is a community that encompasses the whole air cargo supply chain, including forwarders.
Our forwarder members are very dedicated to Cargo iQ and providing better transparency and quality and we are very dedicated to all our members that share this same goal.
