Flexport is to end its own dedicated freighter service, citing changes both to the market and its business, which has seen it expand outside its traditional Hong Kong-Los Angeles route.
The forwarder, which has informed customers of the changes today, has instead set up a series of block space agreements (BSAs), primarily with Nippon Cargo Airways (NCA), but also with carriers including Cathay Pacific and United Airlines.

January 13, 2020 at 4:21 pmwell, honestly speaking for such a marketing machine like flexport it should be latest clear in may,june of 2019, that dedicated charter aircraft contracts on the Transpac is not something really needed. This clearly shows up that Flexport still has to learn a lot and gain a lot more experience to be in a position to maybe compete in a few years with the big guys, but there is still a long way that water will flow down the streets and lines.
