Danish ro-ro and ferry operator DFDS today reported third-quarter results which show the line overcoming the economic challenges across Europe.

DFDS reported a 2% increase in revenue for the quarter, to €600m, while its pre-tax profit was up 3%, to €87m. Operating profit was flat, at €160m.

Chief executive Torben Carlsen said: “This is no small achievement in light of the challenges in the markets, and a very good reason for optimism for the future.
