Atlas Air and other US aircraft owners are eyeing opportunities after the EU finally agreed to relax restrictions on non-EU carriers wet-leasing in Europe.
Last week, the US, EU, Norway and Iceland signed an agreement that levelled the playing field for US carriers to wet-lease to EU carriers. Previously, the EU had restricted US carriers to wet-leasing for just seven months, after which they could reapply for another seven months and then had to stop.
