The US Postal Service (USPS) loses so much money, so predictably that you get the impression that many journalists just churn out last year’s story with the dates and numbers tweaked a little.

Perish the thought.

Yet the numbers are so staggering that any reading of the situation leads to the clear conclusion that America’s public postal system is headed for financial collapse. Maybe not in this presidential term, but probably in the next one.
