Cargo Facts has published a nice little pre-Super Bowl story (and explained a few things for non-US readers). In a nutshell, one of the first 747-8Fs built, which didn’t meet the required specifications for buyer Atlas Air, has been into the paint shop. It may not meet an airline’s preferred requirements, but it is looking good for sports fans. A fairly expensive billboard, perhaps, but what the hell, Boeing yesterday announced net income of $1.23bn in the fourth quarter and said it would deliver up to 12% more commercial aircraft next year, between 715 and 725. And for more on the latest freighter delivery, read this on publicity shy Silk Way Airlines.
