Responding to a Wall Street Journal report on Friday that its major shareholder, Temasek Holdings, has invited offers for its 65% stake, Singapore’s Neptune Orient Lines said yesterday it had made no firm decision, one way or another. “The company is focused on returning its core liner business to sustainable growth and profitability.” However NOL’s share price rose sharply today as speculation about a possible sale grew.
