Menzies Aviation has broken into the Canadian air freight market with the acquisition of GTO Global Logistics. Freightwaves reports that the Vancouver-based operator will be integrated into the forwarding arm of Air Menzies International (AMI). While no price was disclosed, financial results suggested it could be around the £1.9m mark. Meanwhile, volumes at Vancouver International have risen 50% in the last five years, and last year stood behind only Toronto in terms of total volumes handled.
