Lufthansa Cargo is to end its operational control of the general cargo handling business at its cargo centre in Frankfurt, from 1 July.
German publication DVZ reported that Fiege, a logistics company will take over the day-to-day operations. Special handling, for cargo such as temperature-controlled, animals and valuables, will continue to be handled by Lufthansa Cargo.
