The likely fate of Jade Cargo’s (remember it?) aircraft was much debated when the joint venture carrier grounded its fleet at the end of 2011. After much speculation, China’s UniTop signed an LOI for the aircraft – but never took them. Anyway, finally now there is to be an auction of three 747-400Fs, including engines, with a starting price of CNY1.32bn ($207m). The sale will take place in Shenzhen on October 26.
