Here’s an interesting design for a new eco-ship, which uses an innovative hull design shaped like “a symmetrical air foil”. It is powered by LNG to reduce fuel consumption by 60% and CO2 emissions by 80%. It is not unlike Wilhelmsen’s Orcelle design from a few years ago, and the Norwegian shipowner has confirmed that it took part in brainstorming sessions in the development of the new Vindskip.
