Did no one learn from Jurassic Park and, to a lesser extent, Westworld? Dinosaurs and robots always go wrong. Many are very nervous at the thought of drones over densely populated towns and cities, especially those with regular flight paths. Just one drone – or maybe even no drone – brought London Gatwick to a standstill for several days at Christmas. But China has landed its very own regular drone service, courtesy of DHL Express. The logistics giant has teamed up with autonomous vehicle manufacturer EHang. Covering 8km, and able to carry up to 5kg of cargo, the drone has been unleashed for one customer.
