Here’s news of a surprisingly big deal by Belgium’s bpost, as it undertakes the transition from traditional postal operator to e-commerce supply chain fulfilment manager. The company is using its €820m acquisition of US-based e-commerce logistics supplier Radial as a way of both expanding its US footprint – Radial has 24 fulfilment centres handling over 300m shipments last year – and increasing its cross-border and transatlantic e-commerce capabilities.
