Further supply chain disruption is possible, following Belarus’ threat to block access to the Europe-China rail route. More than 380,000 teu went by land via Belarus last year, a 30% rise on the previous year. Belarus president Alexander Lukashenko has threatened to block the transit of EU goods to the east following the trading bloc’s sanctions on the country after it forced a Ryanair flight to land in order to arrest a blogger. Reuters reports.
