The port of Antwerp continues to benefit from MSC’s presence, with the Belgian gateway recording its fifth consecutive year of record freight volumes. World Maritime News reports that container volumes for the port increased 4.1% year-on-year to 10.4m teu, adding that chief executive Jacques Vandermeiren expected continuing container growth to continue over the coming years.
