The Federal Aviation Administration has given permission for Amazon to begin further testing of its delivery drones concept in outside areas. The company had previously been limited in the US to testing inside near its Seattle headquarters, as well as outside in non-US locations. Amazon faces considerable hurdles before it will be able to realise its vision of a fleet of drones delivering packages to customers, however.
