Major airlines have cancelled or made changes to flights to the US over concerns about the roll-out of 5G, even as Verizon and AT&T said they would delay the launch near certain airports. Emirates has suspended services to nine major hubs “until further notice”, in yet another setback for cargo, passengers and carriers.
In what was perhaps the worst of both worlds, with both flight disruptions and another delay for telecoms companies, airlines said the decision was reached too late for planning. The biggest concern is over 777s, whose altimeters could be particularly affected by 5G. Reuters reports.
