The rumours are getting louder. First, it was reported in the Dutch press that Air France KLM was considering getting out of the freighter business. Now Bloomberg has taken up the story, saying that the struggling carrier is ‘reviewing the options’. A decision is expected by September. Air France has just sold two 747-400ERFs, leaving it with two 777Fs. But the real question will be what happens at Martinair, KLM’s dedicated cargo airline, which currently operates 11 freighters.
