Newly founded freight forwarder FSC Oceans has appointed Steve Boyson (pictured) as its business development manager.
Mr Boyson brings more than 20 years’ experience to the role, having held positions at Ceva and DHL Global Forwarding, as well as with courier Skynet, and US-based airfreight specialist BAX Global.
He joins a team that collectively boasts in excess of a century’s worth of experience, following its founding by Shatha Aziz earlier this year.
Alongside Mr Boyson, Ms Aziz recruited former Kuehne + Nagel man Alan Hewitt as commercial director, and Steve Tumbler, whose past credits include Ziegler France, to manage operations.
Mr Hewitt said he was “thrilled” by Mr Boyson’s appointment, adding that he had “hit the ground running” during a “very exciting” time for the company.
“What sets us apart is our culturally diverse make-up and our experience across a broad spectrum of industry sectors, including automotive, FMCG, high tech, retail, and marine logistics,” he continued.
“Steve adds another string to our bow and I’m sure is going to make some excellent relationships for us over the coming months.”
