XPO Logistics has appointed Malcolm Wilson as CEO of its Europe division.
He has been promoted from managing director, supply chain Europe, a position that will be filled by Richard Cawston.
Mr Wilson replaces Troy Cooper, CEO since 2015, and will continue as global chief operating officer for XPO.
Mr Wilson has headed supply chain and logistics for XPO Europe since it bought Norbert Dentressangle in 2015, holding the same role with the French company. He is also now president of XPO Logistics Europe’s board.
Mr Cawston has been with ND and XPO for 13 years, most recently as MD supply chain for the UK and Ireland.
Mr Cooper said: “Malcolm is uniquely qualified to lead XPO Logistics Europe. He’s a high-impact executive with a talent for getting results.
“Malcolm’s 23 years in the logistics industry include a decade at the helm of our multinational supply chain business in Europe. He has longstanding working relationships with our two divisional managing directors, Luis Gomez and Richard Cawston, making this a seamless transition for our transport and supply chain customers.”
