DSV – 'overheating'
Exhaustion setting in?
A slightly confusing headline from the otherwise reliable Automotive Logistics. It reports that after four years, German investigators have reached a settlement with DB Schenker over claims that it bribed Russian customs officials in the port of St Petersburg to expedite shipments of automotive parts for the nearby Ford factory between 2010 and 2012. The settlement is in the $2m mark, although prosecutors are still investigating whether Ford had a role in the scheme. The US carmaker has denied any knowledge of the matter.
