Cargo Facts on the latest freighter forecast to come out of Airbus, which takes a surprisingly long-view look towards 2033 and manages to conclude some even more surprisingly detailed results. The pan-European aircraft manufacturer expects 803 new pure freighters, in the mid- and large-size segments, to be built, and 1,555 passenger aircraft to be converted into freighters, which also includes the small-size segment capable of carrying 10-30-tonne payloads. Rather whets the appetite for Boeing’s forecast, which is due to be released at the Tiaca event in Seoul next week.
