US freight forwarder Expeditors has reported third-quarter results which show continuing growth in profits as volumes began to recover, while capacity – especially in the air freight sector – remained tight.
As a result, revenue in its air freight segment during the first nine months soared by over $1bn, year on year, to $3.24bn, compared with $2.17bn in 2019.
