It is all about networking
UK independent parcel carrier Yodel has confirmed Ben Mitchell (pictured above) as its new chief financial officer, following a one-month stint as interim CFO.
Yodel says Mr Mitchell “brings extensive knowledge and experience of the retail and logistics sector”, having worked for The Very Group – formally known as Shop Direct – in a variety of finance and commercial roles, most notably as the business’s commercial director.
Mike Hancox, Yodel chief executive, explained: “With 20 years’ experience, he brings a wealth of knowledge to this role, which will be vital as we continue to strengthen our offering and grow as a company.”
His role prior to joining Yodel was as corporate finance director at Ellerman Investments.
Mr Mitchell said: “I am very excited to become formally part of the Yodel team. I look forward to working closely with our colleagues as we strive to contribute to Yodel’s future. I have great confidence in the direction we are going as a business, and firmly believe we are in a strong position to build on our recent successes.”
