Oliver Kaut (pictured above) has been named the new head of global air freight and vertical market automotive at German freight forwarder Leschaco.
He takes over from Antonio Oliveira, who will concentrate on his role as managing director of Leschaco Aircargo.
Mr Kaut has had a 35-year career in freight forwarding, in which he has mostly focused on air freight and automotive logistics. He began his career with UPS Supply Chain Solutions (formerly known as Menlo Worldwide, Emery Worldwide and Emery Airfreight), where he spent 16 years and finished as director airfreight & express EMEA.
He then joined Eagle Global Logistics, where he served as vice president operations Europe/EMEA , which was followed by 10 years at DHL Global Forwarding, first as vice president of automotive, Central & Eastern Europe and finishing as vice president of marketing & sales in Germany.
