Ocean and air freight rate data and intelligence platform Xeneta has announced changes to its board of directors, with Marie-Pierre Rogers (above) appointed as the new chair.
Ms Rogers brings a wealth of experience from roles in technology and supply chain companies, including SoftwareONE, Spencer Stuart, the International Air Transport Association, CPGmarket.com, FedEx, and DHL.
She said: “Xeneta is a fascinating business at the intersection of technology, data and supply chain. I am honoured and excited to be part of Xeneta’s growth and look forward to contributing to its future success.”
The Xeneta board, in addition to Ms Rogers, comprises co-founder and CEO Patrik Berglund, partner at Apax Growth Mark Beith, partner at Creandum Fredrik Cassel, and chief customer officer at Typeface Bridget Shea.
As part of the board consolidation, Doug Friedman, Robert Toms, and Jesper Kjaedegaard have also stepped down.
Mr Berglund said: “Marie-Pierre joins our board with an extensive range of skills which are perfectly aligned with our mission to transform the ocean and air freight markets by providing real-time freight rate benchmarking and market analytics.“
Ms Rogers succeeds Birger Magnus and Mr Berglund added: “During Birger Magnus’s tenure as chair, Xeneta has grown into the leading global reference point for ocean and air freight rate data and intelligence. I wish to extend my heartfelt thanks to Birger and our departing board members for their invaluable guidance, which has allowed us to approach the future with greater clarity and purpose.”
