On the back of the Indian government’s decision to allow foreign retailers into the country, one of its largest domestic transport and logistics companies has revealed an ambitious investment plan to serve the new entrants. Investment in equipment is one thing, but it effectiveness will be limited if the government doesn’t similarly invest in India’s dilapidated road network.
