Priority Freight has appointed Steve Downing (pictured above) as head of group projects.
Mr Downing brings over 25 years’ experience to the role, joining from Volga-Dnepr Airlines, where he headed strategic development of the engineering and logistics division.
Alongside his work with the Russian carrier, he also held a variety of roles within FH Bertling Group, including in its charter, forwarding and project logistics businesses.
Group managing director at Priority Freight Neal Williams said: “Steve’s experience and knowledge across diverse industry sectors related to our business makes him the perfect choice as head of group projects.
“His appointment will complement perfectly our ambitious, but fully achievable, growth plans.”
Mr Downing has also been a member of the British Air Charter Association since 1997 and was elected to its council almost a decade ago.
He said: “Priority Freight has an enviable reputation and I look forward to contributing to the further success of the business as it embarks on a new and exciting period of growth and development.”
