Geodis has appointed former FedEx and TNT executive Robert Mianowski as its new regional sales and marketing director for north, east and central Europe.

Mr Mianowski worked under Geodis CEO Marie-Christine Lombard when she headed TNT and he was MD eastern Europe. He then joined FedEx as vice president operations in Germany, Austria and Switzerland in 2016, and left in December.

In his role at Geodis in Frankfurt, he will report to Thomas Kraus, Geodis president and CEO for north, east and central Europe. He said: “I am delighted that in Robert Mianowski we have been able to gain another very experienced industry expert to augment our team. The NECE region requires country-specific and holistic customer solutions due to the varying demands of individual companies and markets within it.

“With Robert’s considerable experience his support will enhance our abilities to design these solutions”.
