XPO Logistics has promoted Nigel Rouch to the position of SVP technology – Europe, responsible for technology organisation and digital strategy.
He will report to XPO Europe president Luis Gómez and Pat Petersen, chief technology officer.
His previous position was VP, IT and operational excellence – UK and Ireland. Mr Rouch has 17 years of industry experience, joining Norbert Dentressangle in 2004, long before its takeover by XPO, and subsequently served as director of technology, projects and procurement in the UK and Ireland.
“Nigel’s dual strengths, as a technologist and a transport operational excellence executive, will be of immediate benefit to our growth and customer delight strategy,” Mr Gómez said.
“Under his leadership, our innovation team will continue to collaborate with our country leaders to tailor digital capabilities to specific growth opportunities.”
