A new list of bidders for Frankfurt-Hahn Airport is being drawn up following the apparent inability of original bid winner Shanghai Yiqian Trading to pay the €13.5m price tag. CargoForwarder reports that 20 companies have applied to Rhineland Palatinate state – although only two or three are likely to be serious bidders. China’s fast-growing HNA Group appears to be a likely candidate, but if no real bidder appears, the airport may have to file for insolvency.
