Mediterranean Shipping Co has never been shy to take matters into its own hands if its partners aren’t willing to make the investments it feels are needed. What’s the deal here? Congestion in Jawaharlal Nehru port has resulted in a squeeze on terminal capacity, made worse by incessant bureaucratic dithering, making the up-and-coming Gujarati port an increasingly attractive investment.
