You have to wonder whether the investor relations teams at Finnish cargo handling equipment giants Cargotec and Konecranes are guided by someone from the upper echelons of British society, certainly Oxbridge-educated and quite possibly from the pre-1960s, such was the level of English understatement on display in today’s announcement on the progress of their planned merger.
