Lufthansa and Etihad – from enemies to partners

“If you can’t beat them, join them”, the old saying goes. And it looks like Lufthansa agrees, as it announced a (passenger) tie-up with former arch-enemy Etihad. And with Lufthansa Cargo betting on partnerships as the way forward (see ANA and United) while it reduces its freighter fleet, it would not now be so surprising if the pair started looking at a freight alliance.
