LDA and ABG Infra Logistics joint venture is 'driven out' of Kolkata

Another bizarre story out of India, where French company Louis Dreyfus Armateurs and ABG Infra Logistics have stopped operating at Kolkata’s port after a kidnap, threats and corruption. The main competitor to the joint venture is owned by an MP in the same party as the prime minister of west Bengal. But it’s not over yet – there is expected to be a legal battle over the compensation for the JV breaking the contract – and over ownership of equipment at the port. A murky tale…
