Ostend’s mayor has said the Belgian port will not be ready for a new ferry service in time for Brexit. Bart Tommelein told the BBC it was “impossible” for the port to be ready, adding that he would be travelling to Ramsgate, the UK port involved in the prospective new service, next week to discuss the matter.
