Good news for FedEx. Net profits for the third quarter rose by an impressive 53% to $580m, while revenue rose just 4%. Lower fuel prices, restructuring and a good peak season contributed to the result. Its international business, however, was impacted by a strong dollar and lower fuel surcharges.
