Yep, ‘fraid so, because we are now entering the era of matrix retail, where consumer demand for goods and retail experience are bound up with retailer advertising, sourcing, inventory, fulfilment and service into what has become known as “the logistics of customer experience”. It’s a long article, but certainly provides food for thought, if a little jargon-heavy. Then again, who, a few years ago, imagined they would be talking about “omni-channel” retailing?
