Dachser sees revenues fall back, but has an eye on more acquisitions
German road freight and 3PL provider Dachser today reported a 12.5% year-on-year decline in 2023 ...
Andreas Fritsch (above) is to be MD European logistics Germany at Dachser from 1 January, succeeding Alexander Tonn, who has led the European Logistics’ German business unit since 2017.
However, since his appointment to Dachser’s management board at the beginning of last year, Mr Tonn has also been working as the road logistics unit’s chief commercial officer.
Mr Fritsch, a Dachser veteran whose career with the company has spanned over four decades, is currently general manager of logistics centre Ostwestfalen-Lippe in Bad Salzuflen, near Bielefeld.
He has developed the location into one of the largest in Dachser’s European network and, for more than ten years has represented the interests of the decentralised operational units to Dachser’s management board as spokesman for the branch managers.
In his new position, Mr Fritsch will report Mr Tonn.
Dachser’s 40 European logistics branches in Germany moved around 30.7m consignments, weighing 15m tonnes, in 2021.
