Mr Hill, who left Champ to found his IT consultancy, Top Tier Associates, will also become head of innovation and help enhance e-Cargoware’s ‘digital-first’ airfreight product portfolio.
“Our industry is rapidly transforming, and I am delighted to support the e-Cargoware board with its expansion plans to deliver innovative digital solutions that meet the inevitable transformational change brought about by business and technical innovation,” said Mr Hill.
“I see a real desire for change with all stakeholders, including airlines, handlers and GSSAs, willing to embrace innovation, and in e-Cargoware I saw a team pushing the technological boundaries to transform our industry.”
CEO Ramesh Darbha added: “Our industry is going through a major digital push and securing Steve’s services is a major win for us.”

According to Des Vertannes, who brought himself out of retirement to chair the board, the solution is “brilliant”.
