Nippon Cargo Airlines has scrapped an order for four 747-8Fs, although it appears still to be in the running for a further two. The cancellation leaves Boeing, which appeared to have had a pretty good year freighter-wise, with “zero net orders” for 747s. NCA’s reasons for the change have not yet been cited, but it does already operate eight 747-8Fs as well as five 747-400Fs, which is possibly sufficient capacity in the current market.
