As expected, the air freight figures for June are not healthy. IATA’s results, released today, show volumes rose just 1.2% in June, consistent with falling trade and weaker-than-expected growth, it said. Asia and the Americas reported declines, while Europe was flat. It was, of course, the Middle East and Africa that pulled the numbers into positive territory. Looking at the first half of 2015, growth is weaker than in 2014, notes IATA, with mixed signals for the second making it hard to predict.
