Artificial intelligence is no longer theoretical for freight. Companies are investing, testing and, in some cases, seeing returns. But for all the activity, there is still little clarity on what actually works, where it falls short, and how fast it will change day-to-day operations.
The Loadstar has launched a global survey to get a clearer picture. The aim is simple: to cut through the noise and focus on how AI is being used in practice, what it delivers, and what is getting in the way.
The report will track where adoption is gaining ground, from demand forecasting to visibility, and where progress has stalled. It will also look at the constraints holding projects back, including weak data, difficult integrations and internal pushback.
Measuring success is another key question. As spending rises, so does scrutiny. Which use cases are delivering returns, and which are not? What separates projects that scale from those that quietly fade out?
The survey will also capture expectations for the next 12 to 24 months, showing where supply chain leaders see real value emerging, and where optimism may be running ahead of reality.
Participants will get early access to the findings and the full dataset, allowing them to benchmark their position against the wider market. The more responses, the stronger the picture.
This is a complex, disrupted sector. A clearer view of how AI is actually being applied is long overdue. This survey offers a chance to help build that picture and make use of it.
