The UK Warehousing Association (UKWA) has appointed Anne McIntosh as its new honorary president.
Baroness McIntosh replaces Ivon Moore-Brabazon, who steps down after more than a quarter of a century.
A former member of parliament, Ms McIntosh represented the constituencies of Thirsk and Malton and Vale of York, later serving as an MEP before being given a life peerage in 2015.
The chief executive of UKWA, Peter Ward, said the association was indebted to Mr Moore-Brabazon and was delighted at Ms McIntosh’s appointment.
