SF Express has agreed to jointly fund the development of a $7.6bn cargo airport in Hubei province. Caixin Global reports that China’s second largest courier has tied up the agreement with Hubei Transportation Investment Group and Shenzhen Agricultural Bank for an airport at Ezhou. Construction is expected to begin imminently and there are estimates that 2.5m tonnes of cargo will be handled annually by 2025.
