Atlanta has offered Flexport a $100,000 incentive to locate a sales and operations hub there. The US city – in fact the state – is attempting to boost its logistics credentials and has welcomed Flexport’s plan for a $100m expansion, creating 250 jobs. The forwarder is looking for a 25,000 sq ft office in mid-town, along with a 100,000 sq ft warehouse by the airport. It aims to make Atlanta its small-and medium-sized customer centre.
