Following the retirement of Jack Semple, the Road Haulage Association (RHA) has rejigged its policy team, appointing Rod McKenzie (pictured) as its director for policy and public affairs.
Mr McKenzie was director of marketing and communications for the past 11 months, before which he held various positions within the BBC.
Alongside Mr McKenzie, Duncan Buchanan will take on the new role of policy director, joining the RHA from the Department for Transport (DfT), where he was responsible for operator licensing and roadworthiness policy for several years.
RHA chief executive Richard Burnett said he was sorry to see Mr Semple leave, but was “confident” of Mr McKenzie’s leadership potential.
