Canadian low-cost carrier WestJet is set to begin wide-body flights in early September after taking delivery of its first B767-300ER.
Four aircraft of the type are scheduled for delivery over the next eight months. The first will operate initially between Toronto and Calgary for the next several months.
When two more 767s arrive this autumn, WestJet plans to fly them on Calgary-Hawaii and Toronto-Montego Bay routes. The fourth aircraft comes on board next spring, ahead of WestJet’s launch of a to London Gatwick service in May.
