Singapore Airlines plans to keep its 747-400 freighter fleet

Singapore Airlines has pledged to keep its eight freighters, despite its Cargo division making a S$22m operating loss last year. It said it needed both maindeck and belly capacity, but had no plans to change its freighter fleet from 747-400Fs. The carrier has mooted the idea of getting regional partners, despite criticism from some alliance members that teamwork is not its strong point.
