Supply chain advisory and consultancy provider House of Shipping has promoted Alessandra Ronco (above) as its new global chief executive.
She will also continue to serve as global chief legal officer.
“I am honoured to step into this role and continue supporting House of Shipping’s dynamic growth journey,” Ms Ronco said. “Together, we will maintain our focus in driving meaningful progress through collaboration, forward-thinking solutions for our customers, and a deep commitment to sustainable growth,” she added.
Ms Ronco joined House of Shipping in 2022 from Arkas Container and Shipping Transport, where she served as legal director and was a member of the management directors’ team for the Turkish operator’s liner services.
Earlier in her career, she spent 10 years at Maersk Line, holding various roles across legal, customer service, network design, and partnership management.
Since joining House of Shipping, Ms Ronco has played an integral role in shaping strategic decision-making while ensuring legal and regulatory compliance, and her expertise spans legal strategy, cooperation agreements, P&I claims, FD&D matters, and competition and regulatory law.
“Under Alessandra’s guidance, the legal department has evolved into a trusted advisory function for clients across the shipping, maritime, and logistics industries, offering legal management consulting that supports sustainable, long-term business success,” a company statement said.
